Cloth Diaper Fashion Show

About a month ago I decided that I wanted to start cloth diapering Gavin. I talked to some friends and did some research online. Helping the environment was enough to sway me, but after researching the cost benefits I was fully on board. I also appreciate how cute cloth diapers are compared to those plasticey disposables. Daniel was never fully sold and still isn't fully convinced, but he more or less supported my decision. He hasn't changed a single diaper since we started cloth, so he really got the better end of the deal. That will change eventually whether he likes it or not, but for now I am fine with making the extra fashion decisions each day for our son.

There's a lot to learn about cloth diapers. I decided to use one size pocket diapers because I didn't want to continue to buy diapers as he grew and being able to take the lining out of the pocket seemed like it would get cleaner than diapers that had the lining sewn in. I also chose to buy all diapers with snaps. They make cloth diapers with Velcro, but I was worrier about the Velcro wearing out or getting messed up in the wash. I bought many different brands and haven't been disappointed yet. I even got most of them at a discount and with free shipping.

I bought my diapers at the following websites:
www.momsmilkboutique.com
www.abbyslane.com
www.diaperjunction.com

You can go to those sites for more pictures of what pocket diapers look like. They are certainly different than the cloth I wore as a baby!
